Todd Rokita’s Tasteless Attack’s on WIBC Producer Brian Baker

“Lying Todd” Rokita as Rob Kendall at WIBC so accurately calls Rokita, proceeded to our complete shock to make a total ass out of himself by insulting Brian Baker a producer over at WIBC. The incident in question occurred yesterday while Hoekita was appearing yesterday morning on the Tony Katz Show. Guy Relford was filling in for Mr. Katz. Rokita said after having spoken to Producer Brian Baker that he was glad to get a question from Guy Relford as opposed to “a lowly Producer”. An obvious swipe at Brian Baker. IR doesn’t know what planet Rokita lives on. But he should now producing a radio show is not a job for the unintelligent. We will share a link to Rob Kendall’s comments about Todd  We think they are spot on. Unlike Rob though if Turd Rokita wins the primary we are writing in a candidate for Senate in the fall. We would rather eat airline food than vote for Todd Rokita!

Vulgar, Profane, Corrupt and Stingy Todd Rokita

What are we Hoosier's to make of Todd Rokita? IR has been writing about him for sometime now. But the events of the past week even have us stunned at this man's arrogance, condescension, and unbelievable sense of entitlement. Brian Slodysko over at the Associated Press and Rob Kendall host of the "Rob Kendall Show" on WIBC have done a great job at holding Old Todd's feet to the fire. Their are some individuals to whom the people of Indiana owe the greatest debt of gratitude for helping to show Todd Rokita for the clod and buffoon he is. All we can tell you our readers is these persons have been more than generous at helping to get the truth out about Todd. We are eternally grateful to our sources for reaching out to us and trusting INDY REPUBLICAN with much needed information. Now back to less pleasant topics. The chief of them being Theodore "Todd" Rokita.

On April 9th, 2018 Kaitlin Lange over at INDYSTAR reported that:

Leaders of Trump's Indiana presidential campaign announced their official endorsement of the U.S. Senate candidate Todd Rokita Monday, just days after a report that the congressman called President Donald Trump "vulgar" in early 2016. Rex Early, the Trump Indiana State Chairman, and Tony Samuel, the vice chairman, said what set Rokita apart from the other candidates was how Rokita supported Trump after he secured the GOP nomination.

Ms. Lange cited an article by the Associated Press in which Rokita gave his reasons for endorsing Senator Marco Rubio instead of Donald Trump for the Republican Presidential Nomination in 2016. Rokita is quoted as saying:

"When you see Marco contrasted with Donald Trump — I mean someone who is vulgar, if not profane," Rokita said at the time. "At some point you have to be presidential. People expect that and you see that in Marco Rubio."

Let's stop and examine Rokita's standards regarding what he considers "Vulgar, if not profane". In light of Rokita's endorsement of Marco Rubio for the GOP Presidential Nomination. Rokita must have some rather unusual idea of what constitutes vulgarity. Gary Welsh over at Advance Indiana in February 2016 wrote a post called "Marco Rubio's Days May Be Numbered". Gary reported on rumors that Marco Rubio having attended gay foam parties in South Beach, Flordia. Gary even provided these photos which appear to be of Rubio. One shows Rubio looking like a Chippendales Dancer, the other shows what maybe Rubio at gay foam party. One person commented on Welsh's post: "Evidently, Chris Christie was on the mark when describing Tio Taco Rubio as 'the boy in the bubble'.

Here are the photos in question. Look at them if you dare:

Marco seems to be devoid of vulgarity and profanity in Rokita's eyes. Which is interesting considering sources have told us that Rokita and Rubio share many similarities OUTWARD appearance however is not one of them.

Rokita in his haste to try and make himself look important jumped on the endorsements of the leaders of Trump's 2016 Indiana Campaign as proof that President Trump was endorsing him in the Senate Primary. As usual Todd jumped the gun. Brian Slodysko reporting for the AP on April 18th, 2018 that:

Donald Trump’s re-election campaign has demanded that Rep. Todd Rokita take down yard signs it says give the false impression the president endorsed the Indiana Republican’s Senate bid, two people with direct knowledge of the matter told The Associated Press. The rebuke came after two volunteers who led Trump’s bare-bones 2016 campaign in Vice President Mike Pence’s home state endorsed Rokita during an Indianapolis news conference last week. The Rokita signs, which have gone up since that event, proclaim in large white letters “Endorsed by Trump/Pence,” with smaller letters below adding “2016 Indiana Team Leaders.”

All the Rokita campaign said is "We do not comment on yard sign strategy". Here is what some of Rokita's yard signs look like since being bitch slapped by Trump officials:

INDY REPUBLICAN has made clear in the past that most of us here are not Trump supporters. But by what twist of logic can Rokita having been endorsed by some of Trump's campaign staff translate into an endorsement from Trump? What's next is Todd going to receive a pastor's endorsement and then claim God is backing him? Or what if some Kroger or Eli Lilly worker endorses him? Is he then going to claim that he has the backing of Kroger or Eli Lilly?

A reader sent in their idea of what kind of sign Todd would make up to convince people God was on his side:

Todd cannot even get it right when attacking his opponents. Here is a tweet in which someone responded to Rokita's attack on Mike Braun facing lawsuits over pay issues:

In several past posts on this blog. IR has pointed out how Rokita loves to misuse his office staff to further his political ambitions. We have mentioned how he used his office staff when he was Indiana Secretary of State to do political work for him on government time. And how some complaints were made to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office and the State's Inspector General as far back as 2011. But nothing was ever done. Turns out Rokita appears to still be continuing his habit of using office staff for political work. Rob Kendall posted an interesting find on Twitter earlier today:

Hat tip to Mister Rob Kendall for catching old Todd in the act. None of us here have ever met Nathan Brand Todd Rokita's spokesman. But he seems to be a poor man's version of his boss. Being Todd Rokita is bad enough. But being a pale imitation of Todd that is just pathetic! Oh and thanks again to our "sources". Until next time this is IR saying keep up the pressure on frauds and fakes like Todd Rokita. We will be back in awhile. Until our next post,Goodnight Everyone! That's a wrap!

Saturday Night Live Skit Spanks Mike Pence for being a submissive to the establishment

A great friend of the blog told IR of last nights Saturday Night Live skit calling out Mike Pence for being a submissive little bitch to the powers that be in Washington, D.C. Last week we blogged here and here about Mike Pence's grandstanding and disrespecting of the national anthem of the United States at last Sunday's Colt's Game in Indianapolis. The White House has since used Pence's childish stunt in a fundraising email. Click here for that story.

Luke Kerr-Dineen at USA Today has the story:

The national anthem issue was kicked up another notch last week when, on President Donald Trump’s orders, Vice President Mike Pence walked out of the stadium in response to players kneeling.
And now, in its first show since the pre-planned stunt, SNL is poking fun at the whole thing. In the skit, Trump orders Pence to first walk out of a Pacers game for players not respecting the anthem, then a Starbucks for the company not using “Christmas” cups, then a gay wedding. In light of the revelation that former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon's having promoted pro-transgender propaganda. It would be a real knee slapper if the gay wedding in the skit turned out to be Bannon's. IR does not believe Bannon is gay. But in light of what we know about the man. We wouldn't put it past him to be hiding something.

Here is the above mentioned SNL skit:

Rob Kendall of WIBC and Central Indiana Fame had this to say about Mike Pence's stunt:

Todd Rokita-Luke Messer Primary Battle getting nasty Part I of II

Congressman Luke Messer

Former Indiana Secretary of State now Congressman Todd Rokita

Indy Republican has been asked by many of our readers to cover the ongoing feud between Congressmen Luke Messer and Todd Rokita in their potential battle for the GOP Senate nomination to take on incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly next year. This feud is even more bizarre given that neither Mister's Messer or Rokita have officially filed to run in next years Senate primary.
IR apologizes for our delay in covering this slug fest. But due to the myriad of twists and turns in this case we felt a need to gather more information before proceeding to write about this in depth. So we have decided to do our first two part blog post. The Rokita-Messer dispute stared back in May of this year attacks started to appear in the press on Luke Messer's wife Jennifer over a contract she has to perform legal tasks for the City of Fishers for which Mrs. Messer is paid $20,000 per month.

Brian Slodysko reported for the Associated Press on May 11, 2017 "Fishers pays Rep Luke Messer's wife 20K/month" had this to say:

A burgeoning Indianapolis suburb has paid the wife of an influential congressman $580,000 since 2015 for legal consulting she largely does from the Washington, D.C., area, an unusually large sum even in a state rife with highly paid government contractors, according to a review by the Associated Press.

Jennifer Messer, the wife of Republican Rep. Luke Messer, makes $20,000 a month working as a contract attorney for Fishers, according to the AP's review of public documents. That's drastically more than either of the city's two staff attorneys are paid — or many other government lawyers in Indiana.

In a statement issued late Thursday (May 11th, 2017), Luke Messer defended his wife's job, calling her "the brains of the Messer outfit" and pointing out that her work as a lawyer predated his political career.

Both Jennifer Messer and Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness, a rising Republican star in Indiana, say the arrangement has been beneficial to the city and helped usher in an era of "unprecedented" economic success in the growing suburb of about 85,000 people.

Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness responded by defending his city's contract with Jennifer Messer. John Tuohy reported Mayor Fadness's response in the Indianapolis Star's Hamilton County News section on May 12th, 2017. Mr Tuohy reported the following:

Amid a torrent of criticism on social media, Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness on Friday defended his $240,000 per year hiring of Jennifer Messer, the wife of U.S. Rep. Luke Messer, to handle city legal business from Washington, D.C.

Fadness said the contract with Messer saves the city money, and he has no plans to drop her. Messer said the implication she was being paid gratuitously for little work was "straight-up sexist."

"She has worked with Fishers since 2010, well before her husband was in Congress, and authored every major economic deal we've completed for the past several years," Fadness said in an interview with IndyStar. "I looked around and concluded she was the most qualified and experienced outside lawyer we could hire."

If anyone is interested click here to look at Jennifer Messer's contract with Fishers.

Jennifer Messer also responded to criticism of her legal work for Fishers in an Op-Ed published on May 15th, 2017. Mrs. Messer's wrote:

Last week I (Jennifer Messer) was featured in a news story about the fact that I provide legal services for the city of Fishers. The story was unfair, intellectually dishonest and straight-up sexist. You know the charge — congressman’s wife (by the way I have a name; it’s Jennifer Messer) gets paid too much for not really doing very much — leaving the presumption that me and the local municipality are doing something wrong.

Well, these are the facts:

• I (Jennifer Messer) have worked with Fishers for nearly eight years, and Fishers was my client two years before my husband was elected to Congress.

• I am paid well for my legal services but the city is paying less today for legal services than it was before its contract with my firm.

• I work diligently for Fishers and have never, in eight years, taken my job for granted. My job is a privilege — not just because I love the economic development work that I do, but because I work with a group of rock-stars. These are people who wake up every day and want to make Fishers a better place for its residents, potential residents and businesses.

• There are simply no facts suggesting that Fishers has received anything as a result of my husband being a member of Congress. Put simply, the premise of the entire Associated Press story is false.

Before we proceed to the most recent developments in the Messer-Rokita Smackdown. We all would like to comment on Jennifer Messer's Op-Ed.

Indy Republican does not necessarily believe that the criticism's of the City of Fishers contract with Jennifer Messer are completely unwarranted. We don't know. But as far as we have been able to discern Jennifer Messer is absolutely right in stating that there is no evidence her contract with Fishers has anything to do with her husband being in Congress. The fact that she was hired two years before her husbands having been elected to congress would seem to undercut the allegation that she was hired because of her husband. Legitimate questions could be raised as to whether her contract with Fishers is a wise use of taxpayer money. But that is a matter for the municipal government in Fishers it has nothing to do with Congress. Our suggestion to Todd Rokita's campaign or whatever parties are involved in these pieces designed to damage Luke Messer is: Confine your criticisms to actions that have been performed by Congressman Messer himself. Leave Jennifer Messer out of this. You may regret attacking Jennifer Messer. God knows we would!

In Part II we will continue our coverage by discussing some interesting alterations that have been done on both Luke Messer and Todd Rokita's Wikipedia pages.

To be continued........
