The Differences Between Real Republicans and Trump Imposters

In the near future we plan on outlining in greater detail why we, as Anti-Trump Conservatives are the true followers of Conservatism and Republicanism. Unlike the tangerine con man Trump.

For now the picture below though short of a thousand words, illustrates briefly the extent to which the modern Trumplican Party has left we Republicans politically homeless:

Martha McSally Wants Arizona Families to Give Up A Meal To Save Her Job

Martha McSally RINO Trump Enabler
Trump enabler and fake Republican Arizona Senator Martha McSally, apparently has decided that her re-election campaign is not going badly enough. So she has decided in a ironic move considering that she is a former combat pilot in the Air Force. To do her best imitation of a mad kamikaze pilot and destroy her campaign in a useless and stupid manner. As our readers might remember we had praised McSally two years ago for defeating two alt-right kooks in the Arizona GOP Senate Primary. So her decision over the last year to become a Trump acolyte has us more than a bit mad. But it’s her most recent act of stupidity that has us completely pissed at her.

McSally so far has been trailing her Democratic Challenger former astronaut Mark Kelly, both in the polls and in fundraising for sometime now. Rather than taking a good hard look at herself and their campaign and attempting a course correction. Old Martha seems hell bent on trying to scrounge up as much money as she can in the hopes that she can get elected to a full Senate term.

Earlier today a recording of Senator McSally making a fundraising pitch to her supporters on a conference call emerged. On the recording of the call, McSally starts out by complaining that her campaign is being outspent on television and that they are losing their “air war”. She even goes as far as suggesting that her supporters could fast a meal, and donate the cost of the missed meal to her campaign. McSally’s campaign and some of her supporters have tried to spin this as a joke. If it was a joke it not only fell dead, but it makes her correctly look like a desperate party hack hoping against hope that they will keep their office.

You all can check out this video about McSally’s desperation here:

We all here can just hear Barry Goldwater and John McCain shouting from their graves at just how much of a joke the once venerable Arizona GOP has become. The sooner we burn out the cancer of Trumpism, the better we as a nation will be.

Mike Pence Made a Deal with the Devil, and the Devil Won

Earlier today our good friend that lovable gadfly Paul Ogden wrote a great, great post about how Indianapolis gambled taxpayers money on the past and we all got hosed. By a remarkable coincidence this post spurned us on to right about another exercise in gambling stupidity. As our readers are well aware INDY REPUBLICAN like the late great Gary Welsh, loathes and despises the milquetoast, obsequious, toady that is Vice President Mike Pence. Unlike some in the Never Trump band of conservatives and republicans, we are as much Never Pence as we are Never Trump. Whether it’s old Mikey being less than honest on his voter registration, using his political pull to get his less than qualified nephew John Pence a cushy political job, or putting on his best imitation of a Christian. Vice President Mike Pence has never failed to exceed our already low expectations of his worthless butt.

Back on April 15th, 2020 Adam Wren a writer for Politico and Indianapolis Monthly wrote “Four Years Ago, Mike Pence Hated Presidential Overeach”. When recounts how Mike Pence looked uncomfortable at President Trump’s April 13th, 2020, when the President said that his authority was “total”.

Wren reports Pence’s response to his master Trump’s proclamation of supreme power. According to Wren, Pence said:

“Make no mistake about it,” a stone-faced Pence replied. “In the long history of this country, the authority of this country, the authority of the president of the United States during national emergencies is unquestionably plenary.”

There’s a governor who spent his time in office arguing exactly the opposite: that the states had the right to refuse Washington’s dictates, that state autonomy was a constitutional bulwark against overarching presidential power. His name was Mike Pence.

Wren makes reference to a 2011 Washington Times Op-Ed then Congressman Mike Pence wrote, defending states against the overeach of federal power. Here are a few excerpts from that op-ed, back when Pence still pretended to be a conservative:

To ensure a lasting victory for limited government, it will not be enough simply to cut government spending. We must permanently reduce the size and scope of the federal government by restoring to the states and the people those responsibilities and resources that are rightfully theirs under the Constitution of the United States.”

“In 1982, Mr. Reagan came to Indiana to address the issue of federalism before a joint session of our state General Assembly. He used that Hoosier setting as a backdrop to announce a new presidential commission on federalism, which he called the “new phase” of the “great American experiment.” As a start, he offered to return 40 federal programs and the revenues associated with them back to the states. The commission and its work fell flat, but Mr. Reagan was right 30 years ago, and he is more right today.

Sounds light years away from his role serving in and defending an administration that has worked to undermine Congress’s oversight of the federal governmentpushed for taxpayer bailout of private businesses, and has sought to bailout American farmers after his insane tariffs have damaged them. While we believe that it is true that Pence sold his soul to Trump in the hopes of becoming president. We happen to believe that his so called Christian faith, and belief in limited government have long been a fraud that Pence has peddled in his quest for significance. In congress Pence never passed anything of any importance. It’s true he now and then pretended to support government whistleblowers. But as a congressman, governor, and now Vice President he has done less than nothing to protect whistleblowers.

Some have attempted to defend Pence by saying he has pushed behind the scenes to reign in Trump, or that he has no choice but to obey Trump. Our response to this is “Bullshit”! The belief that Pence has tried in ANY way at all to undermine Trump, is as flimsy as the evidence for Scientology’s belief in invisible space aliens infesting our bodies. Or in other words there is NO proof of either, because like Scientology’s body thetans, the legend of Pence having a spine is a complete fabrication. As to the argument that Pence has to do as he is told by Trump. Let’s quote from the Constitution that Pence swore on a Bible to uphold:

Article I, Section III, Clause I: The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.

That is pretty much all the Constitution says about the Vice President. He cannot be fired by Trump. At the very least he could take stands against the President when he oversteps his bounds. Sure Trump would rage tweet at him, and he may not get elected to another office. But he will get a government pension, and any TRUE Christian would stand against the blasphemies uttered by the mouth of Donald Trump.

Open Letter To Senator Rand Paul

To: The Honorable Senator Rand Paul of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

From: Disgruntled former supporters of Senator Paul

Subject: Senator Paul’s betrayal of conservatism and libertarianism.

Dear Senator Paul,

We would like to start by saying that we are very glad to see you have recovered from the attack you sustained in 2017. Now that we have dispensed with the pleasantries, we would like to discuss some areas in which your conduct has made it impossible for us to EVER support you again in the future. As you are well aware your brethren in the House of Representatives are conducting an impeachment inquiry into President Trump, and his pressuring of the Ukrainian government into investigating his possible presidential opponent Joe Biden. Leaving aside the issue of whether or not the President should be impeached. Your conduct today at a rally with President Trump has shown you have completely sold out to the forces of big government socialism.

At the rally in question you demanded that the press release the name of the whistleblower in the Ukrainian scandal. Notwithstanding the media may not know who the whistleblower is. The whistleblower’s identity is protected by federal whistleblower laws. Therefore by encouraging others to publicly out the whistleblower you could possibly be encouraging possibly criminal conduct on the part of the media.

You would do well to read what Congressman Justin Amash who backed your 2016 presidential bid had to say about whistleblower’s:

Also take a look at Congressman Joe Walsh’s response to your asinine defense of unlimited government power:

Government transparency, openness and rule of law are the cornerstones of true conservatism. These ideals have been part and parcel of the values we conservatives hold dear, since before Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. Your selling your nonexistent soul to the apostle of unlimited statism Donald Trump is sad and unfortunate. Mostly for you Senator Paul. You could have chosen to be a man and stand up to the powers that be. Instead you decide to emasculate yourself so much you make Richard Simons look butch. Well if you ever grow or craft a pair. We would welcome you back to the cause of truth and human liberty. Till then take care and try to keep your pandering to Vladimir Putin to a minimum. You would look like human scum in Russian clothes.

Sincerely,

Indy Republican and the Gang AKA Human Scum

Fake Republican Governor Eric "Taxman" Holcomb Strikes Again

Governor Eric Holcomb RINO-Ninth Circle of Hell

Pray as we all do that Governor "Bagman" Holcomb will decide to stop being a traitor to the historic principles of Republicanism. Mad Old Eric just can't resist trying to squeeze citizens and voters for more money. Holly Hayes over at the Indianapolis Star with contributions from Kaitlin Lange reports that Governor Holcomb wants to get the United States Supreme Court to overturn a 1992 SCOTUS decision so that he can force out of state businesses to pay tribute to collect and give sales taxes to the State of Indiana.

Ms. Hayes has the story:

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill filed a lawsuit on behalf of the state Monday asking a court to find one of Indiana's newest laws constitutional.

House Enrolled Act 1129, which went into effect July 1, would require out-of-state businesses to collect and remit the same sales taxes as Indiana-based businesses, according to a news release.

The lawsuit "seeks to level the playing field" between Indiana businesses and out-of-state businesses conducting business online.

In a statement released Monday night, Gov. Eric Holcomb called for the United States Supreme Court to overturn its 1992 ruling that out-of-state retails not collect and remit sales and use taxes.

"In light of the rapid evolution and capabilities of software and technology, the incredible growth of online sales in recent years and other factors, it’s time for the Supreme Court to revisit and overturn this ruling," Holcomb said. "Hoosier-based businesses need the ability to compete on a level playing field as soon as possible."

Holcomb signed the law with full knowledge of SCOTUS' prior decision. The law includes a provision that the state legally challenge that ruling.

It looks a lot like Holcomb is just grandstanding and praying that the Supreme Court will overturn their earlier decision from 1992. IR wonders if Governor Holcomb is aware that the Supreme Court hears less than 1% of the cases sent to it each year. And even should they hear the case and rule in the states favor. That will take years. For a "fiscal conservative" Eric Holcomb certainly loves tax money! After all he signed over 45 tax and user fee hikes into law earlier this year! Tell us all again. Why is Eric Holcomb a Republican? If he is going to raise taxes all the time he and the Daniels-Oesterle-RINO wing of the Indiana Republican Party needs to take a hike!

Vote out Pledge Breaking Congressman Markwayne Mullin!

Rep. Markwayne Mullin RINO-OK

According to a July 5, 2017 article by Cristina Marcos published on thehill.com Congressman Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma has decided to violate his original pledge to serve only six years in congress and run for another term.

Marcos writing for The Hill reports:

In a video posted by his campaign, Mullin said he and his family originally only expected a six-year run when he first launched a bid for the House in 2012.
But after feeling frustrated during his first two terms trying to work with the Obama administration, Mullin said he wanted to stick around while President Trump is in office.
"We looked at each other and we said, 'We're running again,' " Mullin said of a conversation with his wife, Christie.
"We understand that people are going to be upset. And we get that. We understand it," Mullin said. "I'm not hiding from that. Because we did say we were going to serve six years."
Mullin appeared jointly in the video with his wife, who said they initially worried that a tenure in Congress would negatively impact their family and plumbing business.

"We truly felt like we would serve six years and have to come back and patch together our family, like pick our business up," Christie Mullin said.
But their worst fears never came to fruition, she said.
"Our kids said, 'Dad, yes, you have to run again!' " she said.
Markwayne Mullin attributed his decision to having a better understanding of how politics works and said his position has simply evolved over time.
"I don't think there's one person that's never changed their mind six years apart from each other or how they would approach things," Mullin said.
This is not the first time that Congressman Mullin has drawn criticism during his time in office. Back in April Mr. Mullin was under fire for saying that it is "bull crap" the idea that taxpayers pay his salary.
On April 13. 2017 Nikita Vladimirov wrote
Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) faced off with constituents at a town hall this week, telling the members of the audience that they don't pay his salary.
"You say you pay for me to do this? That’s bullcrap," Mullin said at the town hall in Jay, Okla., according to a video of the incident.

"I pay for myself. I paid enough taxes before I got here and continue to through my company to pay my own salary. This is a service. No one here pays me to go,” he added.
After constituents pushed back, Mullin reiterated that being a lawmaker is not "how I make my living."
“I’m just saying ... this is a service for me, not a career, and I thank God this is not how I make my living,” he said.
The article states that Mullin owns Mullin Plumbing. Which is presumably how Mullin makes most of his money since he claims not to be a "career politician".
IR knew nothing of Mullin until this past week. But just judging by the tone that Mullin takes and the overall dishonesty that permeates from this man's mouth. He should be voted out of office!
Fortunately Republicans already have a good candidate challenging Mr. Mullin in next years GOP congressional primary. His name is Jarrin Jackson. He ran against Mullin in the 2016 primary. He is an Afghan War veteran, an executive of a nonprofit organization, and a fierce advocate of term limits. He also opposes nation building. If anyone is interested in helping Mr. Jackson in his bid to oust Mullin from Congress you can click here to go to his website and help out his campaign.
