Lou Dobbs is Right. Ditch Lindsey Graham!

None of us here ever thought we would agree with the protectionist, anti-free market, Luddite Lou Dobbs. Apparently though the election of Donald Trump as President has made almost anything possible. Last Friday Lou Dobbs went after Senator Lindsey “Trapped in the Closet” Graham for being insufficiently opposed to free speech:

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Friday went after Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), asking why anyone would vote for the Republican lawmaker just weeks before his hotly contested election.

Dobbs lashed out at the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman for “not subpoenaing the left-wing heads of the censorships Twitter and Facebook until after the election.”

“Graham has betrayed President Trump at almost every turn,” Dobbs pressed. “He has betrayed the American people and his oath of office. He’s done absolutely nothing to investigate Obamagate except to tell everyone, ‘Stay tuned,’ time and time again. Stay tuned. Senator Graham needs to be tuned out in South Carolina.”

Let us be clear. We completely oppose the attacks by Dobbs and Trump on the free speech rights of Facebook and Twitter. Dobbs is absolutely right in saying that Graham has betrayed both the American people and his oath of office. Unlike Dobbs we view his betrayal as being a rubber stamp for Trump. Lindsey Graham’s Pathetic Pleas for Money w/Update

Just when we thought 2020 couldn’t get any weirder South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham decided to add his own brand of crazy to the mix. Twice yesterday first on Fox News Thursday and then later on Hannity. Senator Graham complained that he was being out raised and outspent by his Democratic opponent Jaime Harrison. According to The Hill Graham said:

 "My opponent will raise $100 million in the state of South Carolina,” Graham said. “The most money ever spent in the history of the state on a Senate race in this state was by me in 2014 when I spent $13 million.”

“I'm being killed financially. This money is because they hate my guts.”

The article for The Hill by J. Edward Moreno does point out there is some confusion as to why exactly Senator Graham thinks he is getting killed financially based off his most recent campaign filings:

It wasn’t immediately clear what figure Graham was referring to, given that Harrison has raised just over $28 million as of the last Federal Election Commission filings in June, compared to Graham’s $29 million. 

We agree with Moreno that on paper it wouldn’t make much sense to claim he is getting crushed by his opponent money wise. Our own conclusion is that Graham’s campaign is in some kind of financial trouble. And/or Graham is concerned with some justification that he could lose his re-election bid this year. Our guess is that it’s a combination of both. If his going on TV and pleading for money is his idea of helping his campaign. It only serves to make him look weak and like an establishment politician desperate to cling to power. Graham’s attitude reminds us all of Senator Lugar’s ill fated attempt to hold onto his seat back in 2012. We will post a link to some videos of Graham’s tv appearances from yesterday and let you be the judge of his behavior. UPDATE: The Lincoln Project has just tweeted out a very funny video about Lindsey Graham’s financial woes. Despite some disagreements with The Lincoln Project at times, this video is funny as hell and if Graham loses this video will certainly help. We personally don’t want a Democrat run Senate, but our primary goal is to take out the Judas’s of the GOP like Graham. If that means we have to muddle through a few years of a Democratic Senate so be it.

What’s Hiding in Lindsey Graham’s Closet?

Good afternoon fellow patriots. We like many of our fellow conservatives and libertarians have been frustrated with Senator Lindsey Graham’s lack of a spine and balls for the better part of a decade. But his well documented transformation from Never Trump to Trump’s Butt Kisser has sickened even our cast iron stomachs. Personally we believe that he is just trying to hitch his wagon to whatever is the latest political horse. Other’s however have a different theory as to why Graham has become submissive to President Trump.

We were cruising around cyberspace and came across the following from one of our favorite conservatives S.E. Cupp:

To anyone using their platform to peddle this garbage: Please stop implying that Lindsey Graham is closeted and that Trump must be blackmailing him for support. It’s baseless, juvenile and also homophobic.

This brought to mind a post from back in 2015 by the late great Gary Welsh about speculation that both then Senator Mark Kirk and Lindsey Graham were both gay. The friend to all patriots everywhere and the IR Gang’s eternal hero had this to say:

Both Kirk, who is divorced, and the single Graham have been the subject of persistent rumors about their sexual orientation.

Gary was referring to a comment made by then Senator Mark Kirk that Graham is “a bro with no ho”. The comment came up in the context of if Graham were to ever be elected president. Since Graham is not married he said he would pick either he sister or one of his female friends to serve as First Lady. 

We just cannot help but to think that Gary Welsh would be having a field day with Lindsey Graham’s flip flopping if he was still alive. For the record IR doesn’t believe that Graham is gay. Just an opportunist who we all would gladly have leave public life. We do agree with Gary that Ann Coulter is actually a man.
