Is he really anti-Semitic?

VPI,
DeleteYes Ellison is a racist, anti-Semitic bigot. If he wants to claim otherwise, then he is free to explain why he pals around with the repugnant Louis Farrakhan. His views on Israel are of no interest to us. His moral relativism and his bad judgment are!
I just don't think those terms should be thrown around lightly. I see no evidence of him being anti-Semitic or racist. The closest I could find was someone telling Alan Dershowitz something; as Dershowitz knows that is hearsay.
DeleteHe openly defends Louis Farrakhan even though Farrakhan has said: "Adolf Hitler is a great man", and also has stated that "Jews are blood suckers". Ellison has also long been associated with the racist, anti-Semitic and anti-Catholic organization the Nation of Islam. Which is run by Farrakhan. If Ronald Reagan or George Bush had any similar association with a group like the Klan or Neo-Nazi's they would have been pummeled. But Ellison continues to defend racist like Farrakhan to this day!
DeleteIt looks like he repudiated it. Sure, he probably did it to get elected, but it's a stretch to say he openly defends it.

I'm just looking for at least one comment he had made that you believe makes it him anti-Semitic. I just ain't found one yet. If anything, he seems like a normal politician. That is faint praise ...

DeleteSure, that statement is considered beyond the pale in conventional circles, but a couple of well-respected academics have written a book (which I've read) that tends to agree with Rep. Ellison. However, isn't the fact you cannot enough mention that it is potentially true cause for concern?
